Dx51d Z200 Galvanized Steel Coil https://www.cosasteel.com/prod/dx51d-z200-galvanized-steel-coil/ Mon, 06 Feb 2023 06:06:20 +0000 https://www.cosasteel.com/?post_type=prod&p=25864 Dx51d z200 refers to galvanized steel coil that undergoes a continuous hot-dip galvanizing process. This method offers the steel coil broad protection from corrosion by adding a tight bond between the steel and the coating.
Dx51d z200’s zinc coating is suitable for bending and welding with high resistance to a corrosive atmosphere. This galvanized steel coil is excellent for outdoor and indoor applications for buildings, structures, and household appliances. The high coating of pure zinc and low carbon for base material offers longevity to the designs.
Its formability and ductility make it a widely used material for roofing, walling, windows, shutters, refrigerators, watch rooms, booths, rolling doors, gates, door frames, sliding doors, ceilings, communication pipelines, and many more.

What does z200 mean?

z200 refers to the galvanized steel coil’s coating designation. Both surfaces of the steel coil have a triple spot test of 200 g/m2 and a single spot test of 170 g/m2. The guidance value for coating thickness per surface is 14 μm with a range of 10 to 20 and a density of 7, 1 g/cm3.

The coating conditions do not impact the quality of the galvanized steel coil, which could be in the form of many zinc crystals, no spangles, or without the presence of zinc crystals. The surface quality of z200 is X for the letter A under Normal spangle (N). The Minimized spangle (M) has a triple X under the letters A, B, and C.
Solidifying the zinc coating naturally leads to the formation of zinc crystals or without spangle as in the case of Normal spangle. Few or fewer visible spangles are the production of intervention in the solidification process of zinc coating, as shown in the results of the Minimized spangle.

Dx51d Z140 Galvanized Steel Coil https://www.cosasteel.com/prod/dx51d-z140-galvanized-steel-coil/ Mon, 06 Feb 2023 05:54:09 +0000 https://www.cosasteel.com/?post_type=prod&p=25863 Dx51d z140 refers to steel products with high formability for cold forming, as indicated in the first letter D. The letter X indicates no specific substrate. The numbers 5 and 1 show the steel grade bearing its serial number, while the second D represents the hot-dip galvanizing code.

This galvanized steel coil has a high coating of pure zinc (Z) with a base material of low carbon. It underwent several stages of chemical process to protect it from abrasion and corrosion even after years of use. The zinc coating prevents rust from attacking the surface and inner parts. The steel undergoes a hot bath of molten zinc to become a permanent part of it and not work as a sealer or paint.

The addition of z140 refers to the zinc coating mass, which has a greater mass for weldability, formability, and bending applications.

What does z140 mean?

Z140 is a coating designation of the galvanized steel coils. Its minimum total coating mass for both surfaces have a symbol of g/m2 or grams per square meter. Under this designation, the steel got a triple spot test of 140 and a single spot test of 120 g/m2.

The guidance value for coating thickness per surface has a symbol μm, a ten (10) μm typical value with a range of 7 to 15. The surface quality of Z140 is X for the letter A under Normal spangle (N). The Minimized spangle (M) has a triple X under the letters A, B, and C.

The Normal spangle is the result of the zinc coating solidifying naturally to form zinc crystals or no spangle. The Minimized spangle is the product of influencing the solidification of the zinc coating to produce a few spangles, and some spangles are not visible.
